Deploy where your data lives
Every organization has different security, compliance, and operational requirements. Integral runs as a fully managed cloud platform or as a self-hosted installation inside your own infrastructure — same core engine, your choice of deployment.
Cloud-Hosted Platform
Get started in minutes with Integral's fully managed cloud. API key, SDK integration, and you're running. Includes the full product management suite — dashboards, team management, usage analytics, audit explorer, and compliance reporting — all maintained and updated by Integral.
Self-Hosted Installation
Deploy Integral inside your own VPC, on-prem data center, or air-gapped environment. The same core de-identification engine and Expert Determination capabilities, running where your data already lives. Your data never crosses your network boundary.
Containerized Deployment
Self-hosted installations ship as container images that run on Kubernetes, Docker, or any OCI-compatible runtime. Standard deployment patterns, infrastructure-as-code templates, and health check endpoints your ops team already knows how to manage.
Core API Parity
Both deployment models expose the same core de-identification API surface. Your integration code doesn't change when you switch between cloud and self-hosted — only the endpoint. Python SDK, REST API, and webhook callbacks work identically in either model. Full API documentation and SDK guides are available to licensed customers.
Built-In Product Management
The cloud platform includes product management tools that give your team visibility and control: project dashboards, team-based access controls, usage and billing analytics, remediation history, and an audit log explorer for compliance reviews.
Enterprise Security Controls
Both models support SSO/SAML, role-based access control, encryption at rest and in transit, and detailed audit logging. The cloud platform adds Integral's SOC 2 Type II compliance and HIPAA BAA (terms provided during onboarding). Self-hosted inherits your existing security posture.
Cloud vs. Self-Hosted
Same core engine. Different operational models. Choose the deployment that fits your organization.
| Cloud-Hosted | Self-Hosted | |
|---|---|---|
| Infrastructure | Fully managed by Integral | Runs in your environment (VPC, on-prem, air-gapped) |
| Setup Time | Minutes — API key and go | Days — containerized deployment with your ops team |
| Data Residency | Integral-managed cloud (SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA BAA) | Data never leaves your network |
| Product Management Tools | Full suite — dashboards, team management, usage analytics, audit explorer | Core engine — API and CLI, BYO monitoring |
| Updates | Automatic — always on the latest version | Customer-managed release cycle |
| Compliance Reporting | Built-in dashboards and exportable reports | API-driven reporting, integrate with your existing tools |
| Scalability | Auto-scaling, no capacity planning | Scale within your own infrastructure limits |
| Best For | Teams that want speed, managed ops, and full-featured tooling | Organizations with strict data residency, air-gap, or governance requirements |
